Without listening to the sound clips, your description is of an export problem that Audacity 1.3.10 has. What you export isn't what you get. Pull down 1.3.11 and try that.

Re: What does this mean?
You need to be careful not to start asking us for the "Professional Audio Filter." I agree with everything he said except he left a few bits out. You would do that if you started out life with a completely soundproofed, quiet studio and a $2000 microphone. You get a particular sound with t...

Re: Whine on USB mixer only when Aud is monitoring
Again speaking from way out over the cliff, can you make it worse or change it? Can you cause the problem and then gently wiggle cables to see if it changes? Any change at all. Pitch, volume, density. Is it worse on left, right, or about the same. I know you said you're in mono, but there's a stereo...

Re: 'Lost' recording
The AUP file is the supervisory file. It's not a sound file. It's job is to point to the hundreds of other files that make up your show. The AUP file and the _DATA folder have to be in the same directory or folder. If you're missing one or the other, you may have no show. You didn't say why you had ...

Re: Whine on USB mixer only when Aud is monitoring
Did we ever ask you to post a short segment of the sound? Can you? Do you have any place to upload it where we can all get to it? The highest quality the better and include some "silence" so we can get a flavor of the noise by itself.

Re: Whine on USB mixer only when Aud is monitoring
<<<I was hoping to play back the recorded tracks on speakers while adding a keyboard track that I'd monitor through headphones.>>> Yes, that's why I went through all that business to develop the mixer. My headphone service has the fully mixed show with individually adjustable volumes for Old Show an...

Re: Crackling Noise Overdubs; Realtek/Windows Twilight Zone
If you have a surround sound card (front-left, rear-left....), and you want to overdub musical performances, it's possible you have a terminally complicated system. Each new edition of Windows tries to simplify things by leaving out bits of the system -- in effect making the system appear relatively...

Re: Audacity crashed whilst trying to save as audacity proje
<<<seems to be a common issue with long recordings.>>> I was and and then wasn't going to bring that up. Your show isn't considered a "Long" recording. I have produced three hour presentations myself. Long is the poster several threads over that tried to manage a 14-hour show. He didn't ma...

Re: Audacity crashed whilst trying to save as audacity proje
Past the recovery tools, I know of no way to put it all back together. When Audacity crashes, it creates, however briefly, digital chaos. Even if the individual sound segments are still there, the laundry list of what goes where is missing and the file designators could be scrambled. There used to b...
