Re: IPod recordings cannot be imported to Audacity

You know you can't transfer purchased music like that, right? One of the components of AAC is copy protection.

Re: IPod recordings cannot be imported to Audacity

m4a is AAC format, more specifically Apple AAC format. Any iPod and Mac can play those and you can get the free QuickTime Player for Windows and then you can play them there, too. If you go for the QuickTime Pro, you can use that to convert the music to other formats. Macs can't play Windows Media f...

<<<If they do that they won't have the oppertunity to make a high quality presentation, say on CD, or via the internet when bandwidth improves.>>> Yes, that does make my teeth hurt. I come from a background of "camera master negatives" and "studio master sound tracks." You can al...

Did you use a forbidden character in your filename? No punctuations marks. Upper and lower case letters, numbers, underscore and dash only. Did you finally fill up your hard drive? How big is the drive and how full is it? -- Right Click Start > Explore > Right Click Local Drive C: > Properties (Used...

Re: Remove other sound and extract speech?

<<<I used other sound editors but I read Audacity is the best one to separate sound. Under some very tightly restricted circumstances with a perfect quality (un...

Re: Ringing in Conversion from Wav to MP3

If you let the H2 compress the work, then you can't bring it into Audacity for further processing and editing. Audacity will not edit MP3 tracks. It imports them, converts them to high quality format (with no increase in show quality) and then edits them. If you want an MP3 later, Audacity has to ex...

It's the same cut. Point us to a piece you want us to mangle.

Re: IS THERE FREE KB PIANO/SYNTH PLUG IN AVAILABLE?

<<<something simple like this must exist surely.>>>

Something simple like this is a MIDI job, not sound job. Audacity will not manage or play synths or other MIDI instruments. Whatever you want to mix into a show has to start out as a sound track, not a MIDI command set.

Re: no power to new usb turntable

The power button should work whether or not the turntable is plugged into the computer. Plugging it into the wall should be enough. Did you save your receipts?
