Something simple like this is a MIDI job, not sound job. Audacity will not manage or play synths or other MIDI instruments. Whatever you want to mix into a show has to start out as a sound track, not a MIDI command set.

The power button should work whether or not the turntable is plugged into the computer. Plugging it into the wall should be enough. Did you save your receipts?
