Which Windows?

Do you know if the device uses ASIO software or drivers? Audacity doesn't get along very well with ASIO software. If you're in Win7, you should go straight up and see if there are any driver or software updates. Audacity supports the Windows drivers just fine.

You may need to solve two problems. Audacity 1.2 is not supported on new Macs. Sometimes it doesn't run at all.
