Re: 1.2.6 Unexpectedly quits during recording

I don't need step by step. If you have any difficulty with crashing or tools that obviously act out of character, drop a note. The developers were thiiiiis close to pushing 1.3.12 out the door when several of us demonstrated mystery instabilities nobody could explain. That's just what everybody want...

Re: Recording in stereo

Maybe nothing. Microphones, USB or not are mono. The exception is those fancy-pants M/X Matrix stereo things, but you'd know of you had one of those. The microphone in your laptop computer is designed to appear on both left and right when you record from it, which gives most people the false sense t...

Re: 1.2.6 Unexpectedly quits during recording

Shucks. That pretty much kills the easy answers. The version is entirely appropriate on your machine, but Audacity 1.2 hasn't been developed or supported in a very long time. It's possible you have additional software that 1.2 didn't know about when it was born. Audacity is a pretty simple program, ...

Re: Echoing/ghosting

Audacity generally doesn't do things like that. That's usually a Windows setting. Open up Windows Control Panels... Windows Control Panel http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Mixer_Toolbar_Issues#Using_the_Control_Panel And make sure you're recording from just your desired source, not Mix-Ou...

You may be recording Mix-Out or Stereo-Mix or What-U-Hear instead of just the microphone. That's the setting you use to record internet audio. The setting is in Windows Control Panels... Re: Error Opening Project...

Did you try to move the show from one computer to another? We tell people you can't move Audacity projects because more often than not, you can't.
