Re: Cannot save project
That's Flash Video. Audacity will not manage those. You're best bet is to do a live capture using the Record from YouTube instructions.

Re: Cannot save project
Did you press Pause instead of Stop while you were capturing? Most of the action items and tools drop dead while you're recording.

Re: Mono Track To Stereo
<<<Audacity user: "I've converted my mono track to stereo,>>> But as you point out, a touch of the balance controls and it is Stereo! It's only two-track mono if they're the same. Remembering that the original post had two instruments on line at the same time in a stereo show. One entirely left...

Re: budget (usb) mic for classical guitar recording needed
You did miss one combination. The MacBook Pro has an excellent stereo digitizer. Analog Line-Out from any of the preamplifiers straight to the 1/8" stereo Line-In of the MBP. It can be a mono plug. You'll just get "Left" in the show. That's how I do all my recordings. Yes, it does bot...

Re: can someone help with my set up?????
<<<I don't know how widespread this software option is.>>> You are one in a row. And it's not a software option. This is very much a hardware problem. Pull one of the flashlight batteries from your flashlight and look closely at it. Now look up at the neighborhood high tension electrical wires going...

Re: MP3 export options not as in manual
Can you do a partial screen capture and post what you do see?
Shift-Command-4 and draw a fence around your dialog window -- different from the one in the book. Then post the picture using the "Upload Attachment" on the screen below the one you're typing on.

Re: Recording delay
That particular delay (of the three you can have) is fixable. It's called "latency" and you can adjust it for perfect recordings -- in Audacity 1.3.12. Audacity 1.2 has no adjustments. http://audacityteam.org/download/ You can safely put both on your machine but only use one at a time. Aud...
