Re: Deleting saved projects
I forgot to ask the good questions. If you are on an Intel Mac with either OS-X 10.5 or 10.6, then you can't run Audacity 1.2. Audacity 1.2 is not supported on modern Macs. --time passes-- [email protected]#$% The servers went down. Audacity 1.3.12 is here when they come back up... Audacity Current Release -- Mac ...

<<<Swearing doesn't seem to help either. Help !>>> Maybe you used the wrong curses. We have a wiki page that can help...... Oh, wait. April First was yesterday. Given that Audacity is in perfect working order, you can clear a project by dragging the AUP file and the _DATA folder to the trash. If you...

Re: What U hear
It has nothing to do with Audacity. Audacity is a complete slave to whatever the computer is doing. It can only access music and services that are provided to it. As above, Stereo-Mix, Mix-Out, and What-U-Hear are provided by the sound card and associated software. Get the wrong sound card and that'...
Re: Import
Unless you bought the song recently, you may not. I don't remember when Apple stopped using FairPlay copy protection. Assuming there's no protection, you are trying to open an Apple AAC compressed sound file and Audacity has no idea how to do that. Go into iTunes Preferences and set the "CD Imp...

Re: Closing Audacity with click on x

This was a hot potato for a while. Mac versions mean different things with the [X] than Windows. Windows closes the program, Macs shrink the program to the "to do" pile but still running.

Re: budget (usb) mic for classical guitar recording needed
<<<reverb can be added, but is can not easily be taken away.>>> Unless you use the PAF. I would expect processing the latest efforts through the same, but more gracefully applied noise gate would take out the very last of those noise effects. Then apply the compression as needed, but I don't see any...
