Which Audacity exactly, which Windows, and are they still missing if you restart Audacity fresh and open a known good working sound file, like this short one...

Re: Trouble X-ferrg tapes to Audacity
Choppy is usually the computer not being able to keep up. How full is your hard drive and have you ever defragmented it? Defrag -- Right Click Start > Explore > Right Click Local Drive C: > Properties (Used, Remaining) -- Tools > Error Checking & Defragmentation Never let the drive get over 90% ...

Re: Where did the broad wiki listing go?
I suspect not. You would have to select the two extremes of ascii printable characters which would turn out to be "!" (hex 21) and, I think "z" (hex 7A) Not "Z." That's an earlier hex value.

Re: Major problem with distortion when using the Leveler eff
Leveler is a brute force volume compressor. It creates damage by design and that's perfectly normal. That's one of the tools to use to create "airline pilot" or "two-way radio" effects. The grand master at "leveling" out the volume variations of a show is Chris' Compres...

Re: Importing raw files into audacity gives a lot of clippin
<<<Switch did support VOX files, but the result was even more clipped than when I would import it into Audacity.>>> Audacity is a terrible converter. You almost always want to do your converting outside and then open the results in Audacity for editing. You know you got everything working when you d...

Where did the broad wiki listing go?
I went up to the index of all wiki pages and instead of three pages of articles, I got search entry boxes. This is highly not welcome news. If I wanted the search system I would have launched the search system. Worse, the search system doesn't default to "all." Where is that listing of all...

Re: Importing raw files into audacity gives a lot of clippin
You might need to convert the music to straight WAV so Audacity understands it. Foobar2000 is a good converter program as are Super and Switch. The desperation method is to record the computer playing the sound.
The wiki seems to be down. I'll get back with this.

Re: BPM issue
It's not the H2. Too many people are using those for production -- barring that yours may be broken. The place of analog to digital conversion is the magic place where the sample frequency is established. If you connect the H2 USB to the computer, then the H2 determines the frequencies. If you send ...
