I need to read that again carefully and come back when I have more than a minute or two. You may have installed Audacity in the wrong folder and that's what's affecting sound services.

Start Audacity recording and play the music. Stop Audacity after the music ends. Audacity timeline should fill up with blue waves representing the loudness of the performance. Missed one. You can cross-fade with the envelope tool. Bent blue line with two white arrows.

I can tell you what's wrong. MIDI isn't sound. MIDI is where the computer tells the keyboard when and how hard to push a certain key and then it let go. That's it. No sound. To get the sound, you have to cable the headphone out of the keyboard (the way I did it) into a computer sound connection. Tha...
