If you export what work you have, does the sound file have the silent segments too, or does the sound file cut off at the same place your voice does? Does your voice fade, or does it cut like somebody threw a switch? I don't like any of this because you have partial symptoms of two different problem...

It's not the USB clock you have to worry about. Each microphone has a sound sampling clock. 44100, 16-bit, Mono 44102 44098 etc. Pull all those microphones into the computer without reclocking and force them all to play at 44100 (the computer has no choice) and some of them are going to drift off.
