Re: Waveform question
The blue waves represent the digital numbers that make up your show. As you noticed, once you exceed the maximum top and bottom, the show becomes damaged, sometimes permanently. The darker blue in the middle of the waves is an illusion. If you magnify the waves sideways (to find an edit point) they ...

<<<Yes, I am running 1.3.12-beta version of Audacity. I am sorry if I posted in the wrong section. I thought I was posting simply to the OS X forum, not an audacity version subsection. Apologies.>>> That's OK. Many people start out in Audacity 1.2 and graduate to 1.3 when we tell them how awful the ...

Re: Help Building a Plugin
What's the eventual goal? I don't remember hitting that anywhere. I'm suspicious of anyone who starts with algorithms and works out to the goal instead of the other way to. Chris's success stems in no small part in that he started with a crystal clear goal first -- listen to opera in the car -- and ...

Re: Unable to Record
Side trip. Can you identify a web site that will allow me to read the mixer instruction book and/or is the book in PDF form that you can send it to me via email? If you don't know how to manage your controls you may have continuing problems with the mixer, but I/We may be able to help. It's not a go...

Re: Help Building a Plugin
Chris is the world class master of manipulating show volume and variations without seeming to do so. One simple change to one of the settings and I can get a very close match to the expensive audio processors in a Los Angeles FM station. Chris uses all the tricks you posted about plus look-ahead so ...

Sorry caffeine deprivation. Count the seconds in both shows and use the formulas we posted in that thread.

Re: Changing speed
6655 - 6533 = 122
122/6655 = .01833208 = 1.833%
