Re: Simple voice recording - buzz
Nobody's surprised about Audacity 1.2 noise reduction not working. It didn't work when it was new. You can't see it, but we're giving each other quizzical looks across the time zones. You are set up for one of the jobs Windows was intended to do. Further, USB microphones tend to be free of all the h...

<<<how does this issue get resolved?>>>
Some delay problems don't. Which delays specifically are troubling you? Don't use the word "latency."

Re: Non-destructive editing
And we warn people that Audacity Projects do not save UNDO, and yes, I believe that's how the other production elves do it. Save projects under different names as you go. <<<the last step is to compress it and give it the oomf and power it needs.>>> Have you messed around with Chris's Compressor? Chris's Compressor http://pdf23ds.net/software/dynamic-compressor/ If you're hand-tuning the Audacity compressors note by note, this may be a revelation to you. Koz

Re: Recording from multiple USB mics
You may be stuck with what you have. I posted looking for a single sentence: "Buy this product and record 8 (more or less) channels" and that product doesn't seem to exist. We know the conditions for causing that product to exist in the future, but there is no model number, product code or...
