You can make your sound file smaller by exporting it in MP3 instead of WAV. Audacity must add 'lame' software to make MP3. http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_windows Make sure your version of Audacity is the correct one for the lame you download. We work in strange ways. If you disconnect your headset, launch Audacity, press record, and still get hum, it's not the headset.
