Re: Mic input is low after effects

Since we can't see over your shoulder, you'll need to describe your microphone and computer. You posted in a portion of the forum where we can't tell anything ahead of time.

Re: meters don't show clipping

Hi! Mac Expert here!

I'm still in the middle of moving our corporation to a new building(s) and any day now I expect to stop running around long enough to do laundry. This project is right after that. What's billw58 doing?

Re: recording without audio interface??

Unless your laptop is a Mac, you're stuck with an Audio Interface. You were fine and very well designed until you tried to connect your powerful, high level, Stereo mixer signal into the laptop expecting a tiny, delicate, wispy, mono microphone signal. Make all your guitars into fuzz guitars -- and ...

Re: Odd File Size Doubling Under Snow Leopard

...or C: Neither one. Audacity does all its processing internally at 32-bit all the better to make your production and effects invisible. Unfortunately, it tries to export your work that way, too. In Audacity 1.3, you can Export Other Uncompressed files and change it to what you want. I think you ca...

Re: Can this be done?

You can give this a shot if you want, but you have strikes one through four already. It's doesn't work very well on compressed YouTube videos. It doesn't work very well on MP3s, It doesn't work at all in mono, and if everything else is perfect, it doesn't work very well. http://wiki.audacityteam.org...

Re: Problems displaying info for mono

<<<If a 16 bit mono audio file is loaded the displays for Audacity improperly show 32 bit as the sample size even though only one channel is shown.>>> Not exactly. Audacity loads your music file in either system sample rate or the native sample rate of the clip whichever is higher. Audacity is full ...

Re: UCA202 No Inputs or Outputs

If you select the Built In Microphone and talk, do the blue balls bounce? Do you get the little green USB light on the UCA202? <<<Stereo Headphone output with dedicated Level control lets you monitor both input and output>>> Do you hear anything if you plug your headphones into the UCA202 and play m...
