Re: Good hardware set-up for recording a class or lecture?
The Zoom H2 is a good compromise between quality and price, but it isn't the end of the world. I think the NPR people still show up for recordings with Marantz recorders. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/608615-REG/Marantz_PMD661_PMD661_Professional_Portable_Flash.html One of the techies in the...

Re: Recommondation for a Chorus Live Concert in a Church
All the tools we've been using more or less depend on a perfect or near perfect recording. The worse the original, the more work you're going to need to do in post production so it comes out right in the end. I press record and then pause and then the recording switches every time I press Pause. While I'm in Record Pause, few if any other buttons work except Stop. I tried multiple recordin...

<<<if she is moving then there are some issues the volume will go up and down as the position wrt mike changes>>> Didn't the poster say she will be wearing a tie-tack microphone (ATR3350) plugged into the video camera? Within reason there are no motion issues with that. And this is not a dreadful wa...

Re: Submit your EQ Curves
Extensible MarkUp Language (XML) is pretty plain and the basic format is used by billions of programmers and developers. All you need is the understanding of information headers, start and stop tags, and data or value tags and you, too can read XML -- and maybe write it, too. You do have to be caref...

Re: Audacity crashes on start up (crash report)
First, try not to post thousands of pages of reports on our poor tiny forum unless we ask for it. Second, uninstall the plugins. Go > Applications > Audacity 1.2 (or whatever you called the folder) > Plug-Ins . Drag the ones you installed to the trash. Restart the Mac. See if Audacity will open. If ...
