Some tools do operate in real time like Sound Operated Recording, but none of the filters that I know of.

You need to upgrade. Modern Macs do not fully support Audacity 1.2.

Audacity is not a surveillance recorder and it does very few tricks in real time. You can do Voice Activated Recording and I can't think of anything else except manually placing labels.

The other obvious solution is un-rename everything back to the original names. You can find the original names by opening up the AUP file as above and read them.
