Re: Sending users to our documentation
<<<Are we trying to help the less able users? Then the London Times is irrelevant.>>>
Not it's not. Less able users would never have found out that links are required to be purple. They're far better served by bright clear links -- given our background colour.

Re: Help : Just starting : Beginner
You can get distortion if the volume of the recording is too high. Watch the bouncing ball volume meter as you record and never let it go all the way to the right. You can make the meters bigger by resizing the whole Audacity work window. Yes, the blue waves on the timeline are a measure of loudness...

Re: Recording Guitar Solos has poor quality
Do you leave the laptop speakers running while you're trying to record with the built-in microphone? Most people doing live recording of any sort should be on headphones to prevent distortion and feedback problems. Can you post a sample of the work with the distortion? <<<blair witch >>>
No actually. Blair Witch had a shooting crew of maybe three people if that instead of sixty or eighty on a movie set. Nobody was going to lose their professional reputation if the show sucked or they blew a shot.

Re: Sending users to our documentation
How about 230, 230, 230 in 255 rgb colourspace? That's 90% white. The header will be brighter, the links will stand out and everybody can sleep tonight.
