Re: Removing bass/drums from a song
In general, you can't take apart a mixed song. Even vocal removal fails most of the time. http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Vocal_Removal There's only one free tool and that's Vocal Removal, but it works on a special case of removing everything in the middle of a stereo show. Obviously, the original...

Re: Recording a radio play
There are semi-inexpensive ways out of this. If you have a storage room, you might find significantly fewer echoes because of the irregular piles of trash and the sound absorption of cardboard boxes. One of the departments of our company has a storage room in the middle of their production area. It ...

Re: need to remove transvestite sound from my voice
Right away I hear severe sound distortion. Is this the video capture software? We use a similar screen capture software, only I don't think it creates that much damage. I'm hearing serious compression artifacts between your words -- that frying and bubbly sound, and your voice is artificially strain...

<<<I am still opened for opinions or ideas.>>> We still don't work well in a vacuum and we're still waiting for that sound clip. Count to ten into the microphone or present four or five seconds of actual dialog. Export As FLAC. Post here using the Upload Attachment tool at the bottom of this page. Koz

Portable Sound Wall: There are enough parts to make a complete, four-wall sound booth with double padding -- one inside and one out. There is only one screw type and one piece of wood multiplied many times. Each piece of wood and each screw can go anywhere. The vertical is two pieces of wood togethe...

Re: Recording a radio play
I made some thin wooden frames to hold up the pads and they knock down into a small pile for storage or shipping. Somewhere I have pictures of that...

Re: Recording a radio play
<<<Thanks so much for help>>> Terrific presentation. This is me wanting to hear the rest of it. I don't think we're going to come up with very many improvements...except one. It sounds like you're recording in a bathroom. Echo city. This is rough to fix. You have to get rid of the delayed slap from ...

Re: Blank sections when saving or exporting in OSX10.6
The first thing we warn people is Audacity 1.2 isn't supported on modern Macs. Audacity Current Release -- Mac http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_mac You can safely install both 1.2 and 1.3 in your machine, just don't use both at once. Audacity 1.3 Projects will not open in 1.2. This particular p...

I'm guessin' he isn't going to like the form of the characters because they're not strictly HTML layout. Did you notice "Click The Underlined...." text is all on one line? No folding. They may not need to be HTML, tho. I created a web page for someone once where I created clickable portion...
