Re: portion of sounds missing
<<<You may be getting "phase reversal" somewhere in the system.>>> I'm with him. You're describing the classic problem where one side of the performance (say Left) is damaged compared with the other. "Some of the instruments appear damaged ... sometimes the vocal is very quiet." ...

Re: Want to digitize 2 records at the same time using 1 lapt
Probably not. Audacity will only recognize one sound device and that usually means one stereo show (or mono). Plugging two USB sound cards in doesn't count. The computer will only manage one. There are sound cards that will record multiple sound channels -- over two -- but they usually do it with AS...

Re: Very frustrating problem.
Several people make little boxes that put 48v phantom power into an existing microphone system. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Phantom1/ Turn mixer phantom power off if you go this route. Did you call Behringer? I think it's suspicious we got several different numbers depending on who reads ...

Re: Meta data not exported with wav files
<<<It's not easy to understand why Microsoft does some things.>>> It's not just Microsoft. MetaData is always a second thought. Music CDs do not carry song titles. They seem to, because the computer goes on-line quick as a bunny and looks them up. I have not personally experienced this, but I know p...

<<<My mic (at2020) takes 48v phantom power and according to this site: http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR299543 my mixer has 48v phantom power so i don't know what the problem could be.>>> According to the User Manual I got from the Behringer web site, it doesn't. http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/...

Re: Can't find Hard Limiter in Edit Chains list
Chains components have to be hard coded one by one. The native applications go first and it's as the developers get to it.

<<<I noticed it was not saving my project when I closed the application>>>
Audacity does not save a Project when you close the program. You have to File > Save or File > Save As.

Re: Audacity project won't save
Even if you try to save the Project on the desktop? Do you put dates in your filenames? Stop doing that. Macs don't react well to the slash character. Upper and lower case letters, numbers, dash, and underscore. Try saving a show with just those characters. Also try saving one show with a filename t...

<<<I've run our point of sale over our network for about 16 years without a "known" packet smash.>>> Oh, you've had packet collisions. All of the network cards and equipment in the system are doing ID management while you're working. TCP is very efficient at packet manipulation. It's only ...

Re: How to Select Area Between Labels
Click and drag until the selected area is slightly more than you want -- before the first and after the second. Magnify Control-E.
Click near the first label and drag toward the second. The two labels should become magnetic and pull your cursor into place.
