Re: Headset and mic needed for recording (hypnosis)
A colleague suggests that I do this by using head phones with build-in mic This is the poster child for not telling us something. People wanting to record good quality voice for presentation usually buy a Yeti microphone and go make coffee. Is the real job to record on-line therapy sessions with cl...

Re: How do you see a bird eye view of whole recording
Command+F will show you the whole (Full) timeline. Drag-select the parts you don't want and Delete. Drag-select some small part of the work and Command+E to zoom into just that. The third one I use all the time is Command+3 to zoom out only a little bit. There are pages of different Zoom tools. http...

Re: ACX meditation - silent gaps affecting RMS?
It's super important to post the rejection if there is one. This isn't a help desk. This is a forum with users helping each other.I sure hope i can report that ACX QA was completely accommodating.

Re: Quick Question
I'll lose my place and not be able to find the segments he's talking about. If you don't push everything back into position until later, that means the times listed on the bottom of the timeline will remain constant as you go. 27:00 - 27:24 can be cut out. So a correction at those times will stay a...

Re: Quick Question
I knew I wasn't going to be a world-class editor when I watched a "real" editor cut an hour long video show and keep everything in her head during the whole thing.

Re: Quick Question
won't be in the same locations! The only way I know of to do this is always perform the corrections left-to-right, so the timeline to the left of an edit is clean and will never move and only the corrections to the right will cause the end of the show to wander. I can think of one other possible fi...

Re: "Unable to Export" to MP3
You must have fixed or changed a different problem. As far as I know, Audacity 2.4.1 has MP3 generation built-in, no further work needed, and FFMpeg has never been an MP3 generator. Other may post.

Re: AUP File Won't Open - Data Files Still There
How did they do it? Typically, once you flush your AUP file, that's the end of the show. There are no "hooks" or clues how to put them all back together. How long was the show?I ended up hiring an engineer to help me and it's resolved now,

Re: Simple Audacity Forum Voice Test
Raw Gratitude.WAV doesn't have any silence in it for Audacity to measure. "ANYTHING (tick-gasp) PRACTICE..." The other between-word or tiny silent stretches aren't really silent, either. ~~ You have to be doing something wrong. I mastered RAW and got a very different presentation than you...
