Re: saving audacity file to memory stick
You're not saving a sound file. Audacity does not Save sound files, it saves Projects which involve many files, not just the AUP. Export a WAV or an MP3 sound file and you can put that on your stick or anywhere else. If you insist on saving Projects, you have to include, at minimum, the AUP file and...

Re: Recording a "Live" stream using audacity 1.3 Beta.
You can set up your computer to record internal sound by wading through this wiki... http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Recording_audio_playing_on_the_computer ...but if you have a modern PC, that might not work so well. By the time you get to Win7, the ability to do that is pretty rare. Then you go ...

Re: Filters
Most of that is straight editing and the order of the tools doesn't mater all that much. You need to worry when you're making corrections to the quality of the work and the tools interact. Noise Removal, Vinyl Pop Suppression, and compressor are classics. <<<trempo changed or matched and pitch chang...

It's possible they use the USB to transport the MIDI between the computer and the keyboard. Is there an on-line user manua...

Re: USB Audio Interface Question
<<<All relative quite acoustic instruments.>>> That's what Bruno was doing. It's worth a read. Get a cup of coffee. It's actual, hands-on experiences from someone who plays acoustic instruments into a microphone. He, too, was starting with a budget concept -- USB in his case. The difference is he sh...

Re: USB Audio Interface Question
I think the Arts has fans on the forum. We reviewed a number of sound devices here... http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=9477#p38580 One of the shortcomings of one-path USB devices is their occasional problem of running out of gain. As I wrote about the Shure microphone amplifier...

Re: Editing DTS Audio Tracks
So you're not actually editing DTS Tracks. You're editing the WAV files that DTS turns into after conversion. The trick will come when you try to put the DTS back. It's not unusual for special characteristics to be included such as voice processing and dynamic management. It's not just apply a filte...
