By the way, you may not find that in Audacity 1.2. 1.2 is no longer supported in favor of Audacity 1.3.12 from here...
http://audacityteam.org/download/
You can install both versions, but only use one at a time. Audacity 1.3 Projects will not open in 1.2.

<<<discovering the tools you describe is nontrivial.>>> Yes, and, he said, raising a bloody hand, that whole thread is a work-around for Audacity not directly supporting Edit Points. Zoom in to point 1 I (in point) Zoom out and back in to point 2 O (out point) Del. I know "I" and "O&q...

Re: Audacity does not create connections in JackOSX
Audacity is a really simple program and likes running on really simple computers -- pretty much the exact opposite of what you have. Hackintoshes are interesting beasts. They're frozen moments in time -- you can't update them and not all applications work right. One of the problems of running in Exp...

Re: Bluetooth headphones not listing audicity in sound manag
Windows has to know what to do first -- always. If your PC speakers run no matter what, then Windows is sending the sound there. Go into Windows Control Panels and select your USB headphones for playback. Then go back and start or restart Audacity. Go into Audacity preferences and see if you need to...

Re: How do I do this?
<<<I do have a laptop running Windows XP. Is there any hope for me?>>> No. None at all. Buying a microphone is a lot like buying shoes, cars, or TVs. What kind of shoe/car/TV should I buy? There was one USB microphone that had a mini-production package built right into the base. You plugged your hea...

Re: Heartbeat Manipulation
Nobody ever accused our pitch shifter of doing predictable, graceful things. That and it's also pretty common knowledge that nothing good ever happens by pitch shifting more than two or three piano notes. I went seven. You might try combining two or more different pitch shifts and jockey the relativ...

Re: problem exporting recording to other audio formats
Do you have Windows set to show you file name extensions? Windows comes out of the box hiding the dot and three letter extension based on the idea that you don't really need it. That hasn't been my experience, but I'm not a multi-billion dollar corporation. So when you see MyMusic somewhere, rest as...

Re: How do I do this?
Maybe not so fast. They don't generally make those. What they do make is "regular" analog microphones that plug into a sound mixer or microphone amplifier and that plugs into your computer. But not if you have a Windows laptop. Many of those don't support connections like that. You never s...
