Re: 2.4.1 Screen flashing
By my count you have 8 apps open on your machine including Audacity and Chrome. What happens if you close Chrome and/or close everything else? Reset Windows? Shift+Shutdown > OK > Wait > Start. Do you use Google Cloud or other on-line storage system? The current Audacity versions don't like that ver...

We lost flynwill. He posted the last legacy correction and had to go play his own Real Life. That version works as expected, except it it takes minutes to get through the check on a long show.

Re: ACX Check fails in 2.4.1
even though the short sample they sent to us sailed through our ACX-Check? Correct. My theory on that one was "Noise" is a convenient excuse for a really poor reading. Rather than complain about specifics and offer constructive suggestions as is normal (and would have taken forever), they...

Re: How to reducie my own voice
Please don't double post. An elf has to read your posting before it becomes visible. So you're the camera operator and the lead announcer? That's not a good combination. Physical spacing between the performer and the microphone is a Really Big Deal. I once played two different people in a show by me...

Re: Hollow and metallic sound on vocal audio (podcast)
Thank you for including a "before" clip. We can do a lot with that and gain a lot of good information. We can't take effects or corrections out of a clip, so the best we can do with the "After" clip is tell you, "Yes. It's broken." noise-reduction distortion, What he sa...

Re: Help fixing the call audio
My guest on the phone It sounds like normal phone call sound. Were you expecting studio sound? Even if you have good capture services and a nice connection, the sound is only going to be as good as the guest's phone. There are no good way to "fix" that. Some voice tones just aren't there ...

Re: Simple Audacity Forum Voice Test
Generate Silence won't work? It works in the sense that your beginning and ending segments are surgically perfect silence, but that's not the goal. It's supposed to be background sound or Room Tone. Freeze and hold your breath room sound. You will be rejected for "too much processing." De...

Behringer UM2. I have one of those. Terrific interface. Press Direct Monitor on the front and the UM2 headphone connection will give you a mono mix between the outgoing sound—in real time—and the playback of the backing track. You have to set the UM2 as the playback device in Audacity, and yes, turn...

Re: Audio Track Records 7% slow
One other note. Audio Track Records 7% slow If it plays 7% slow, that means it was recorded 7% fast. You get slow motion in a movie by speeding up or "overcranking" the film in the camera. In this case it may have been recorded, as DVDDoug above, at 48000, too fast, instead of 44100. That'...

Is it "and etc.?" what happens to the next few? Shouldn't extrapolate on incomplete data.2nd one isn't, then the third one is, etc.
You didn't answer which USB adapter you have. We have to build your machine in our imagination and more information is good.
