You might be able to tell if the clip was created with the "lame" encoder or the Fraunhofer software. The file header may have information about bitrate, etc, but it's less likely you can tell the actual software editor. I know of no way to tell if an MP3 was resampled or restructured. Thi...

One of Audacity's shortcomings is that it will receive, handle, and pass DC with no trouble at all. This causes all sorts of problems when your show is actual sound mixed with battery. OK the dialog box without typing anything in any of the boxes. You can set this extra dialog not to appear in the Audacity preferences.
