Re: Can someone remove the vocals of this song for me?
it's actually missing some crucial instruments at one of the parts. Entirely possible. The tools have no idea what they are doing musically. They work by direction, left to right. The Audacity tools delete anything exactly in the middle of the stereo show -- half way between left and right. It's ca...

In general, you get lame MP3 software from the same place you got Audacity. The software changes slightly depending on which Audacity you have.

Re: help with sound echo when recording guitar
Step one, The Mic-In on your laptop is not suitable for connecting a guitar amp or even a straight guitar pickup without the amp. The only thing you can plug in to that connection is an actual analog microphone... http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3688991 Some people manage to ge...

I made a built-in microphone recording in Audacity 1.3.12 on my MacBook Pro, OS-X 10.5. We were testing a videoconferencing system and the far operator never gets to hear what I hear -- and sound kills these things before anything else. This particular one went very well and I wanted to share what t...

Re: Quick step by step how to record from screen
The recording tab is not in Audacity. It's in the Windows Control Panels. Windows does not want you to record work from the internet, so they hide the tools behind many tabs. Not all Windows machines will allow you to record internet audio. The computer, Windows, and the maker of the sound card have...

Try to get a sample of one single tick apart from everything else and use that. It might not be enough. Make a copy of the track and edit several ticks close t...
