We've been known to recommend the UCA-202 in order to add a Stereo Line-In to a Windows Laptop or other computer that doesn't have Line-In.

There should be no "considerations." You plug it in, select it in Windows Control panels and Audacity Preferences and go.

No, they won't change it. I have an Intel Mac that won't run Audacity 1.2 at all.
