Re: MP3 Exported Files Distorted Since OSX 10.6.5
There have been historical instances of people having troubles with WAV files at 32-bit Floating made into MP3. Are Audacity preferences 44100, 16-bit, Stereo? The default is 44100, 32-float, Stereo. I don't know what your show is, but it could be causing problems all the way back to this step. Can ...

Re: uploading to youtube
YouTube says that processing time might only take a few minutes or could require several hours. If a video takes longer than eight hours to upload, YouTube suggests that the video's creator remove the video and try uploading it again. Most people's upstream internet connection is very slow compared...

Re: uploading to youtube
They? YouTube won't do that without being paid -- and maybe not even then. You're supposed to have a 40 second, highly compressed cat video from a smartphone, not multiple hour-long television shows.theyre about an hour long

Re: audacity recording problem
they don't???? this is the best function ever created!!! Maybe for you. But for the business community who is the major user of Windows machines, it can be a problem. Multiple Recursive Pathways (Mix-Out) can make the machines unstable and interfere with voice communications. It's one of the reason...

Re: uploading to youtube
Is it too big? YouTube has upped its acceptance for larger files recently, but it's still not open-ended.

Re: uploading to youtube
Doesn't YouTube use the built-in file transfer in the browser, like FireFox or Internet Explorer? I don't have an account on YouTube, but don't you log in and click the upload button?
It may get rattled if you try to upload a non-standard sound file. You're using MP3 files, right?

Re: Playback without Windows Media Player?
If you have enough back time, tell us the type and model number of the microphone you want to use. Some work plugged into a Windows laptop and some don't. I don't see any problem with doing exactly what you want to do. If your laptop has a built-in microphone, you may be able to use that and not bot...

Re: Unusual, infuriating issue with playback. HELP PLEASE
intervals are totally silent, though they still show wave forms. That's another symptom of you having somehow damaged, lost, or moved the original sound clips. The blue waves are created by two Audacity graphics files. If you go behind Audacity's back and move sound files around when it's not looki...

Re: Noise Reduction of background hummng
I wondered if there was a tutorial on Noise Removal...and there is. http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Noise_Removal I usually do this by capturing the noise profile, selecting a sample of the speech and apply the tool with various settings and UNDO if I don't like it. I think everybody else does it ...
