Re: Clipping or Distortion on Vocal High Notes of Ripped Aud
There is no distortion when I play my CD collection on it. That's an interesting observation. If you're a lyric soprano, my guess is you're not glued to your collection of pulse-thumping, Euro Electro-Trance albums. You probably have carefully made and possibly years old classical concert and orche...

Re: Exporting to 24bit
All this is perfectly correct. It's also perfectly correct that Audacity is not a WAV editor. It's an Editorial Production Environment Manager. It's job is to manage the show, not sample level arithmetic accuracy. That's why Audacity will not Save a sound file. It saves Projects which are production...

Re: Cant select 'stereo mix' in the right with EMU 0202
"Stereo Mix" and the other variations are three-part harmony between the computer, the software drivers, and the music device. If anyone of them declines to offer the service, that's the ball game. I've never heard of an external USB device offering Mix-Out. Why, again would you want that?...

Re: PLEASE ANYONE CAN DO THIS FOR ME
And they all work on stereo shows. they use the relationship between Left and Right to generate the separation signals. No stereo show, and that's the ball game. If you have a stereo show from the interent, the compression damage will kill you.

No it doesn't clean the Registry, your !.2 preferences are carried forward to your 1.3 installation the first time you fire it up (it ignores the registry after that - unless you delete the audacity.cfg file, the Preferences file. Yes, but. Audacity developers went to great pains to make sure they ...

Re: sound card query
Is the Behringer an analog or USB microphone? Probably no. You need a microphone amplifier in addition to an ability to get the show into the computer. I use the straight analog version of this... http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PV6USB/ Behringer makes smaller units that don't have all the be...

Re: Music sounds like in a box
Which brings us 'round to the amount of effort versus downloading the music from iTunes and burning CDs from that. Or going out and buying the CDs. This is the desperation method when people find out how labor intensive this process is and how easily you can damage your songs in the effort to get ri...

That's called vocal isolation and if you have a mono song or it was an internet download, nobody will be doing it.

Re: Order of operations
I can't get him everything. What do you think "everything" is? This is messy because you can get off the ground very rapidly with a good USB microphone, but they tend to be brick walls because you can't plug one into a small mixer and buy additional microphones for an expanded system. You...

Re: uninstalling previous version
If it's not damaged, I'd be tempted to delete both versions and install Audacity 1.3.12 (and the associated software) fresh. Audacity 1.2 put it's preferences in the Dreaded Windows Registry and it's a little involved to get it out if parts of it crash. On the other hand, both versions completely co...
