Re: How do you rename your tracks?

Little more information. Why is it called it Track 1? Would it happen to be Track 01? Did you get this work from a Music CD? You have to rip the Music CD with a Music CD ripper program (in Windows CDex) and then rename the file in post production. You can't just copy music from a Music CD. It's in a...

Re: Installing software

Audacity is a slave to the computer running it. In the case of Windows, you need to select the recording device in Windows Control Panels first.

Re: Bad sound after 'Export Multiple'

resulting files have a lot of interference/noise on them. I know what I was missing from this. Where did the music come from? We have the middle and end of the movie, but not the beginning. If you have very low level music, you could be hearing the tiny dithering signal that's added to standards co...

Strange thing to save. But who am I to argue?
It's not saved. It updates while you play the file. If you pause the playback, it will give you a very accurate idea how many seconds and fractions you've played so far.

Re: system does not sense STEREO only left channel

Two possibilities. If you have an analog service and you're plugged into the Mic-In of your Windows Laptop computer, you lose. The Mic-In is a mono service and if you plug in stereo by accident, you only get Left -- if it works at all. The other possibility is you're using an older Audacity. Audacit...

You shouldn't...
You're a performing musician and much more likely to know. Isn't E one of your natural strings?
...not as a "solution" to the problem....
What is? Have we identified the problem enough to offer a packaged solution? Christmas Cometh.

Re: Lowering quality of music to save space question???

If it's any consolation to you, Audacity 1.3 is the correct process. Audacity 1.2 was a too-simple, patch job.
