Re: USB input?
The USB device should be visible in Windows Control Panels before you even open Audacity. If it's not visible there, then you need to service the device or the cable. Try another USB port on the computer. You should not be using a USB hub for audio.

Re: No Sound from Speakers
You should open up the Windows Control Panels and make sure Windows knows to send music to the speakers. USB turntables sometimes mess that up. Re: Help exporting file to itunes
There's no shortage of people trying to make Audacity into a surveillance program. It's not. Can you save the show as an Audacity Project? If you can, you could download and install Audacity 1.3.12 from here... http://audacityteam.org/download/ Audacity 1.3 will open Audacity 1.2 Projects. Install F...

Re: Levels
If you have a newer Windows computer, you may be fighting Windows Automatic Conferencing services. It's getting more and more common.
Make sure this stuff is turned off.

Re: How to split a track with two constrasting voices
This is a cousin to the frequently posted question about separating an orchestra into individual instruments. Can't do that, either. This is the analysis of one single piano note. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/piano_G1.jpg See that it doesn't bunch up in one single place with empty space everywhere...

I can get Audacity to tell me that. I mean here on the forum.

Re: "Audacity has encountered an error and needs to close."
Sudden, unexplained computer insanity can be caused by your hard drive filling up. Audacity will not work into a badly fragmented drive, either. This is how to check both. An audio production machine should have at least 10% or more free space and can't be fragmented. Defrag -- Right Click Start > E...
