Re: What equipment used for language learning?
Known good USB microphone. This one's directional and won't pick up as much room noise as others. http://www.logitech.com/en-us/webcam-communications/microphones/devices/221 If you talk just to one side of it rather than straight-on, you may not need the pop filter. The pops and blasts come straight...

Re: Help with File Recovery
I was working on a project and my anti-virus restarted my computer before I got a chance to save it. Your virus program takes your computer away from you any time it feels like it? Is it time for a new virus program? AutoSave is a Feature Request, not a working product. We recommend periodic manual...
Re: Noise
The two sound connections on a normal Windows Laptop aren't the same. The Headphone connection is high level to drive a stereo headphone to good volume, but the other connection is usually for a mono microphone at a very, very low level. People try and connect their audio equipment (guitars, cassett...

No.
Audacity is a post production program and doesn't do anything in real time.

Re: Recording Volume Problems
No software will reduce noise without hurting the show. You need to find out where the noise is coming from. How are you recording the show and exactly what is it?what software can i use to reduce noise.

Re: Audacity Production, but not on this machine..
That's the point. Why isn't this normal instead of a Special Mode you have to enter?I guess very few people use the Audacity CleanSpeech mode (except in error), though IMO saving multiple noise profile files that could be loaded as presets would be a useful feature for Audacity generally.
