Re: Seamless loop of engine sound

Effect > Reverse.

But that still doesn't make it go away.

Re: Seamless loop of engine sound

There's a really tiny pitch change between the beginning and the end of that track. I think the only way out may be to play tracks or passes two, four and six backwards. I think there's a tool for that. Looking.

Re: Audacity 2.4.1 Chops Off A Piece Of My Recording

Are you using iCloud services or connections? Audacity doesn't like that very much. Does it still act funny if you disconnect the network? Either drop the WiFi connection in the top right or Apple (upper left) > System Preferences > Network > Ethernet > Configure IPv4 > OFF. Oddly we're looking for ...

Click inside the recording meters and select Start Monitoring. Do they start bouncing right away or do they wait a bit?

It's Mojave. Apple used the Spanish version.

If this doesn't work, then it's possible they make you adjust the microphone with computer apps or software. If they do, then you're flying on your own. I know nothing about their drivers and software.

Re: Headphones have no sound in them when connected to computer or laptop; or they have sound but my voice is lagging

Getting the instructions to be clear on headphone monitoring can be a chore. a headphone output with level control for zero-latency monitoring That's from the instructions. That usually means they will let you listen to yourself in perfect, real time no matter what the computer is doing. Turn off Pl...

Re: HOW DO I MAKE A WHISPER VOICE!?

i need to make their voice whisper the word i want them to say.
There is no converting spoken words into whispers, but since it's nearly impossible to tell who's whispering, you do it. Record on your laptop microphone or your phone in the back seat of your car in a quiet parking area.

Re: What does my failed ACX test mean...

Did you get the kit with the Microphone? The little three-legged stand? I bet I can make the tiny thumps go away with the book and towel trick. It doesn't have to be Stephen King. https://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MicBookTowel-500t.jpg Note the whole thing is sitting on a heavy, blue moving bl...

Re: What does my failed ACX test mean...

Yes I am the author. So that's one problem out of the way. A lot of ACX's publication management has to do with the juggling act between the performer and the "Rights Holder." You are the Rights-Holder—we assume. I lined a big cardboard box with egg crate foam and the mic is inside. Don't...

Re: Crackle on recording Focusrite Scarlet 4i4 USBC

I think this is where you're supposed to adjust Preferences > Devices > Latency > Buffer length. It's in your illustrations. Puzzled Puppy Look problems like this sometimes respond to System Splitting. Can you make a good recording if you're not feeding the broadcast, for example? Keep peeling off s...
