Is it inside the _data folder? Ive had unfortunate file transfers that ended up under the /Volumes folder and I'm not sure spotlight or search would find that.

Re: Presonus Firebox & Simultaneous Recording Of Multiple In
You will almost certainly want to upgrade to Audacity 1.3.12.... http://audacityteam.org/download/ Audacity 1.2 is very old and no longer supported, patched or repaired. Audacity 1.3.12 has much better and more tools. Multi-channel recording in Audacity can be an adventure. Typically, multi-channel ...

Re: Can't record in stereo
You shouldn't have any analog audio connections to the computer. The UCA202 is a USB device and should be listed like that in Windows Control Panels. It is a stereo device. The analog Mic-In of the laptop is mono.

Re: Overwhelming BUzz while recording tapes to mp3
You can get buzzing like that if you have a loose connection. Unplug everything, power, USB, audio cables once or twice and plug them back in. Try recording again. The USB connection is suspect because although it doesn't directly carry audio (it's all ones and zeros digital bits) it does carry the ...

Re: Minimize Clipping ==> Whisper Volume on Output
You can't actually connect a high level stereo sound signal to your Windows laptop if all you have is a red or pink connector labeled Mic-In. Those two are fundamentally incompatible with each other. We usually send people off to buy a UCA202 device. It provides a very nice set of stereo connections...

Re: Imported music is always a high-pitched, scratchy sound
You are trying to manage music that Audacity doesn't recognize. If you really do have Audacity 1.3.12, then download and install FFMpeg from here.
http://audacityteam.org/download/
That will allow Audacity to use many more different file types.

Re: Paste with Matching Length
Stop using Audacity 1.2. Get Audacity 1.3.12 from here... http://audacityteam.org/download/ Everything I tell you happens on Audacity 1.3.12. One way is to use the Envelope Tool. Open your show on the first track. Then, Tracks > Add New (What ever it is. Match the first one.) You can take background...

Re: im having trouble recording my guitar
through the mixing desk and into audacity, You left out a lot of critical stuff there. You used analog audio cables between the mixer and the Mic-In of your Windows laptop, right? You can't do that. Most Windows laptops have a super sensitive connection (pink? red?) for connecting a delicate, sensi...

Re: Real time recording
"Time" in a computer is slippery. Audio recordings are made with reference to the digital clock system on the sound card and they're played back against two clocks, the one in the computer and the one in the sound card -- which may be different from the recording clock. All of these clock ...

Re: Why is Normalize different before/after Click Removal
Both Normalize and Amplify are simple arithmetic tools. They don't care how loud the show is or anything about the content. They always work on the one (or two) loudest peak and they're really easy to fake out as you're discovering.
