Re: Adjust audio that is too high
Live club or concert? No, you destroyed your microphone with the high volume. There's no music there to save. Club captures take special microphones and MicPres. You would think you would be able to turn down the "Microphone Volume" and that would be that. You overloaded the small package ...

Re: How to turn off internal mic ?
You can turn off your microphone in System Preferences, but you may not want to. Macs cannot record from their sound card. All of what you're doing is coming through your microphone. If you turn that off, everything will drop dead. You can record streaming audio with SoundFlower -- a free download. ...

Re: How Can I Remove Loud Ventilation Fan Noise
I don't know if Audacity comes in a Klingon version. I can check. Noise reduction is designed for people that don't need it. "Noise" has to be very much lower than the conversation, or Noise Reduction will not be able to separate the voices from the noise. There's no shortage of postings w...

Review: StarTech ICUSBAUDIO. http://us.startech.com/product/ICUSBAUDIO-USB-20-to-Audio-Adapter We use these little machines on all three computer platforms, so it's pretty universal. Re: How to record the stereo mix
Did you change anything? People post like you did when they get a new computer and are horrified that "Stereo Mix" is missing -- not an unusual occurrence. Newer computers are much more difficult than the older ones. http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Recording_audio_playing_on_the_computer...

I'm thinkin' that's a feature request. Count your blessings. Those tools didn't used to have grid graphic overlays. I, too, wanted to link the two tools together. It's still manual, but it's a lot easier with the grids. Just a note, you know that display can get a lot more involved. You picked a gra...

All that and there's no guarantee that the relative volume levels of the files would work out. You may very easily run into the ten to one editing rule. It's ten minutes of editing and work to produce one minute of solid show. The numbers vary a bit, but it's remarkable how well that rule works. Koz
