Audacity doesn't really edit MP3 files. It converts them to an internal format and edits that. This gets around the frame boundary problem (but gives other problems).
You might be able to use a third party strict MP3 editor to trim your clips so they work.

Re: Audacity adds tiny pause at beginning of exported MP3 fi
I need it because I making music for flash games and flash currently supports only mp3s. Maybe yours does... If Flash returns an error when you attempt to import an MP3 file, convert it to either WAV or AIFF in a 3rd-party audio conversion application and try again. That's more like I would expect....

Re: Sudden distortion when recording
The power supply is rated at 9 volts instead of the 5 volts that comes out of the USB connection and half an ampre is far and away higher than anything available from the computer. That's the power system that sounds much more appropriate.

Re: Sudden distortion when recording
I think your M-Audio isn't getting enough poop (technical term) from the computer's USB connection. The M-Audio is doing a powerful lot of work (generating phantom power, Headphones, etc.) and its operation may be constantly on the edge of failing. Did you buy this? =================================...

Re: Sudden distortion when recording
Real Thing Upload. Blurry_distortion.flac I can produce much more by linking, but I think this is enough. The digitizer is going nuts. That's not (IMHO) an analog error and Audacity cannot produce anything like that by straight recording, particularly in the middle of a note. It doesn't sound like W...

Re: Final CD levels Too Low
"Normalize" and "Amplify" are cousins. They both look at the whole show, find the one highest peak and change the overall show volume until that one peaks reaches a set point. The major difference is Normalize is unlinked -- it does left and right independently and can cause ster...

Re: Audacity for Macs and silence Generator
I want it to stick on Film Frames (24). Although being compulsive, I can point out that it goes to feet after 16 frames. You can use "18 Frames," but that's also called One Foot, Two Frames. You can see where that would be handy by knowing that a single 1000 foot movie reel is "standa...

It could be a lot faster to take the N or Q trains on the BMT line. The station stop is in the same block. If you play your cards right, you can get one of those giant pretzels while you're there. How do I get to Carnegie Hall?..................... practice,practice,practice...

Re: Exported tracks are completely or mostly silent
While the shows were recording in Audacity, did they look more or less like this? Did the red sound meters bounce and did you have broad, rumply blue displays on the timeline? http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/Audacity1_record.jpg Similarly, if you open up your shows in Audacity and play them, do they ...

Re: Importing from my hard drive
That wasn't an MP3. That was Some Other Sound Format that Audacity doesn't understand. You can fix that by installing the FFMpeg software from here... http://audacityteam.org/download/ Which is where you should have gotten your Audacity. The 1.3 Audacity, Lame, and FFMpeg travel as a customized team...
