Re: Audacity adds tiny pause at beginning of exported MP3 fi

MP3 is a shortcut name -- an abbreviation. It's real name is MPEG 1, Layer 3. This is the daddy to MPEG 2 which made possible Movie DVDs, Digital HiDef Broadcasting, etc. It's a video/television format and it does everything broken up into television frames. Video editors can not cut show sound in f...

Re: Sample Rate Error Message

Thanks guys!! I am up and running.
How, exactly, did you do it? Remember this is not a Help Desk. It's a dialog.

Re: Files too big for upload

As we point out frequently, WAV and other uncompressed formats are for production, filtering and effects, but MP3 and other compressed formats are for delivery. You can add the "lame" software package to your Audacity and that will allow you to Export the show as MP3 files -- or maybe even...

Re: only records in mono

I have run a cable from my Roland Electronic piano to my computer. You missed an important step. How did you plug the cable into your computer? Windows Laptops tend not to have Stereo Line-In connection in favor of Mic-In -- which is mono. If you have one of these... http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/...

Re: Newbie question or two

It's a cover of Don't Stop Believing by Journey.
Somebody who tried to capture a Flash Mob of a Glee cover from the audience?

Re: Newbie question or two

One of the reasons some bands allow recording is they know it's almost impossible to get a good capture from the audience. Nobody is going to be competing with their CD or iTunes purchases. You can't take the screams out because there's no band underneath them. You'll just get a hole in the show, an...

Re: Audacity adds tiny pause at beginning of exported MP3 fi

You have to be doing this wrong. Flash has internal compression management.
Flash's audio features include the ability to import multiple .AIFF and .WAV files into a Flash work file and compress them into MP3 files, seamless looping ...
Again, maybe your Flash software doesn't do that.

Re: Audacity adds tiny pause at beginning of exported MP3 fi

That quote I posted was from Flash Instructions in another program. They would be much happier with WAV or AIFF and they say there could be problems trying to use MP3 files. So "Flash" does not demand that you use MP3. Maybe only your Flash software does that.

I'm solid Polish (both sides), but I don't speak it. Sorry.
Well, good luck with finding one for Linux. I was unable too.
You posted in a portion of the forum where I could not tell your operating system.
