Re: Cockpit noise removal
That's more better. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/clips/Cessna4min-Post.wav I didn't bother with reduction, so the file is huge. That's high pass filter at 300Hz and then gentle noise reduction -- 12dB, 150Hz, 0.15 delay. The noise reduction is going to fall apart as the plane changes speed, as it ...

Re: Cockpit noise removal
Never post work that you already tried to help. Between those filters and the MP3 file damage, that's the end of the story.
So we need a sample of the original material -- the cockpit capture. Mix it down to mono and Export as FLAC. Post that. I think we have a 2MB file limit.

Re: Guitar Amp to Computer Hum
It is possible that something in your wall plates is messed up. In the US, we can buy a simple plug-in thing with three lights on it. In a proper wall plate, only two of the lights are supposed to come on. I've owned two houses and they both had at least one wall plate wired wrong when I moved in. h...

Re: Guitar Amp to Computer Hum
The hum isn't coming through the sound services. It coming in through the cable shields, ground connections, and power cables. Do you have one or more pieces of sound equipment that you can plug in "backwards?" That's a classic place where a power plug can cause problems. I have a tuner wi...

Re: How to mark tracks and create burnable file
Control-K will place a label in your music. Also, Tracks > Add Label. Don't leave out the first song.

Re: How to mark tracks and create burnable file
You shouldn't assume that. Music CDs do not carry song titles. The best you can do is Label the front of each song while it's on the timeline and File > Export Multiple. Audacity will create a pile of music files. Apply the pile to your Music CD Authoring Program, rearrange as needed, and burn. Wind...

Re: Guitar Amp to Computer Hum
There is another poster on the forum with a similar problem. I don't mean he has hum, I mean he fixed his computer system and it doesn't work any more -- but his "new" broken computer is normal. The way he had it wasn't. What you have now is what I would expect. What you had before is unus...
