That might make it slightly easier because you can select track two, copy, select track one, End, Paste. Repeat. Minimal mousing between folders and applications.
I tried a couple of other applications and they all opened up separate instances of the application for each track.

Re: combining files
Yes, but maybe not the way you think. Open Audacity and Import the files, Select the first and Shift-Select the last. Audacity will open them all up one atop the other so they all play at once.

Re: Help i have no clue what im doing :((
The rule is if you can't understand the conversation now, the software isn't going to help. People have posted with voice tracks for divorce proceedings, law suites over noisy dogs in the neighborhood and very bad wedding captures. I don't think we helped any of them. We can make them different, but...

Re: Sending files over the internet
Overnight a thumb drive. When you find out how long it's going to take you to upload 2GB, FedEx is going to look awfully good. Most people's internet connection is designed to download naked ladies (what did you think it was designed for?). My personal DSL connection is 3000Kb down but only 750Kb up...

Re: Really want to switch from Audition. Following would hel
You're still going to get killed with money-based features. Audition and Cool Edit before it had a paid Fraunhofer license and would generate MP3 straight away. Same with Multi-Channel ASIO support. My older copy of Audition had direct support for MIDI management. You can get the first two with addi...

I missed one. After you get done, the show will be in mono, not stereo.

I removed your other post. You're stuck in the New User system of the forum which we use to help guard against spam. You're not selling drugs are you? The Vocal Remover most of the time doesn't work right. The singer has to be in the exact middle of a non-MP3, full stereo show and have no stereo eff...

Re: Noise removal
What I was asking was about using multiple samples of noise from between 3 or 4 tracks as my noise profile. As far as I know, and I would definitely be in Audacity 1.3 for this, the profile step determines what's undesirable from your sample. It will generate weapons to destroy anything in the show...

Re: Rescuing audio from High Gain
make a notch That's an interesting post. Since he's heard the work and we haven't. gain high enough produces too much hiss and noise. That's from the original post. A lot is riding on "and noise." Hiss is straightforward although a little science-fictiony. Microphone signals, particularly...

Re: Audacity Crash, lost hours of work
Depending on what your show is, Export WAV files immediately of any original shoots or capture sessions. Only work on copies and don't make the common mistake of constantly saving new edits on top of old ones -- effectively killing the ability to reverse course to an earlier version. Audacity Projec...
