This may take a while to fix, so I'd probably use one of the other programs in the mean time.
What kind of computer, operating system and what are you trying to record? Win7 Laptop and YouTube sound?

Re: Blue screen of death on XP every time
i hope they don't tell me that i'll have to shut down norton every time i want to record Nobody's laughing about that. It's not unusual for us to recommend shutting down or suspending virus software during audio or video production. Disconnect your network or internet, of course. If you select the ...

Re: Pitch shift voice
I speak with a frequency of around 100 Hz Which makes you a celebrity. When we shoot sound for movies, we almost always use the 100 Hz roll-off filter to avoid air conditioner rumble and traffic noises. So you can also never appear in a movie, at least not and sound like you do now. If that's the c...

Audacity will not save a sound file. You have to export one.

Re: Is it possible to apply Audacity effects to live audio i
No. Audacity only does three things in real time, Record, Playback and some timer tasks. That's it. Everything else is done in post production -- later, after the live show.

Re: Recording Problems using Griffin iMic and Audacity
You see on the left side of your adapter, the plug has a metal tip, a ring, and then the rest of it is sleeve. The adapters you have put half the show on the tip and half on the ring. These adapters... http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/UnbalBalAdapter.jpg Are wired to put the whole show on the tip. The...

There's enough concept in the thread to make me interested in pursuing this further, but nobody ever mistook me for a programmer.
