Re: how do others record cassette tapes?
Most Macs have a Stereo Line-In and don't need the UCA202, above. This is me recording a voice track with a small field mixer. http://www.kozco.com/pictures/boothFinished/mixer.jpg I could have recorded this on a Windows laptop by sliding a UCA202 between the mixer and the computer. It doesn't have ...

Re: audio track shrinks vertically, how do I unshrink?
You should be able to "grab" the bottom edge of a track (yellow border?) and pull down to increase it's size on the screen. On a multi-channel presentation, you can pull up or down and always go back to "normal" with the View > Fit commands. There doesn't seem to be a way to sele...

Re: Recording Go To Meeting
My first guess is no. All SoundFlower does is create extra "leakage" pathways like Stereo Mix on a Windows machine. That will drive the conference sound managers and directional echo cancellation nuts. I wouldn't be surprised if it was locked out like what Skype does. Give it a shot. Post ...

Re: Double headphone recording
The next level of this: Two people interviewing a third over Skype. That's serious coordination and extra hardware. Another Frequently Requested Situation is to record multiple people playing a game. I think some games have recording software that will allow that. Generally, third party software lik...

Re: Double headphone recording
Everyone runs into the same wall in the same place. With a little work you alone can record a nice podcast with effects, music, stingers, clips, etc. Personal Computers are designed with one sound channel each way, and worse, Audacity will only address one sound device. "I'd like to record with...

Re: Recording Go To Meeting
s this possible with Mac and Audacity. Been wracking my brain and trying everything I can think of to do this. I don't think this is possible at all. Even the Go To Meeting management tools only let the conference administrator record the meeting. Nobody else. Can you get a copy from them? If you'r...

Re: noise removal issue - feeling desperate!
One more. Don't force the computer and connection to do anything else while you're trying to connect. Shut down the email, YouTube, and New York Times. Maybe restart the machine before you try to connect. If on a Windows machine, it's possible that the virus protection is helping you too much. A vig...

Re: noise removal issue - feeling desperate!
A quick note about the clip (which I did hear), I think the clicking sound is coming from your computer or system. I don't think that's part of the transmission or the Skype servers. Skype has speed and quality tests you can do. If you're on a Windows PC, it's very highly recommended that you error ...

Re: noise removal issue - feeling desperate!
Just to cover the bases, when you play this clip, it sounds just like the damage in the real show, right?

Re: noise removal issue - feeling desperate!
Here's the clip. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/clips/clip.wav I'm at work, but I want to sit in the corner and listen to this with headphones. I don't think we can do anything with this show, but we may be able to help you with the next one. [EDIT] The user has declined the offer of posting and...
