If none of that worked, you can shortcut the whole thing by setting the cellphone to PA or speakerphone and put it up to the microphone in your computer (if you have a microphone in your computer).
Tell Audacity to record from the built-in microphone.

Re: voice mails
You may have multiple problems with this job. Does that cable actually fit in your cellphone? You didn't seem specific which cellphone you had and that can make a difference. Also many cellphones only have a "headset" connection with microphone and headphones. That's a special connection, ...

Re: MIC is making static noise--PLEASE HELP!!!
You're going to have to write a lot more words. What are you trying to record and how is it connected and to what kind of computer? If you have a stereo music mixer and try to plug it into the Mic-In of a Windows Laptop computer, that's exactly what you get. The left will overload and the right will...

Re: Audacity and Skype
I can't stress enough what a delicate balance Skype and all conferencing services are. If you play back, for example, a second Mac show into speakers so you can hear it, then the other end should be able to hear it as well, assuming you're on a live microphone. Is that the pathway that fades and cut...

Re: Audacity and Skype
Not easily. no. Skype traditionally takes over all the sound pathways in a computer. If you force it to give up some of that control, then the conference voice quality will suffer. If you don't force it to do that, you can never get both sides of the conversation. There are several software packages...

Re: How to make funny/cartoon voice?
That's why you have to do it in two steps. If 20% faster is appropriate pitch, then you need to speak slowly 20% longer to have everything come out right.
There is Change Pitch, but nobody likes the way that sounds.

Re: Zoom-in, out, normal using command-1,2, 3 not mac-friend
I use drag-select Command-E to zoom in and Command-F to zoom out full. Sometimes I'll need Command-3 to zoom out a little when going full is not appropriate. As far as I know, the shortcuts are local to the application that has the focus. I don't use multiple desktops, so I don't know how they did t...

Re: cannot record from rca to line in! error message
'record' output on the mixdeck itself to the computers headset or 'line in' and it records, just poor quality.....I am using a windows laptop That makes a really big difference. The headset or microphone input of the general Windows laptop will not accept a Stereo Line connection. We've been recomm...
