Re: Output at specific Decibels
You want to determine dBSPL Sound Pressure Level, not just dB. The easiest way to do with is with a sound level meter and the cheapest one of those is by Radio Shack. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103667 There's an analog one, too, that I favor because you can't use this one...

Can you post a before and after? Mix three or four seconds of performance with music and silence to mono, then export FLAC and post them here. Label before and after correction.

Oh, but I do. I can try this when I get home.I don't have 2 USB microphones, but the principle is the same.

Re: Trying to Record a Mix from Serato Scratch Live
Did you fill up your hard drive? Audio takes up a lot of room. Gigs and gigs.
Desktop > Go > Computer. Control-Click on the system drive > Get Info.
I have 112 GB internal drive and I have 33 GB left open. How did you do?

You're not still in Audacity 1.2, are you? You didn't get bubbling in the show?the motor noise has completely disappeared.
It's possible you're a good candidate for those tools. If the fish tank is way in the background, your chances of success go way up.

Re: Additional Editing capabilities
Photoshop can do that. It has some very serious "remember what I do" commands. The difference is that Photoshop has all of its tools available for batching and Audacity doesn't. Also I don't think either has conditional tools. "If the picture is too bright, do this." I don't reme...

Re: Problems recording a second track (multi-tracking)
It might slow the machine down. From memory (mine), Pagefile is the amount that the machine shuttles off to the hard drive because the internal memory isn't up to the job. The fastest mechanical hard drive is far slower than the hardware memory. As a side note, I wonder what would happen if you inst...

Re: Exported WAV file won't burn
Try and download, play and burn this file.
http://www.kozco.com/tech/piano2.wav
It's very short and it's video sound specification, not Audio CD, but it should burn anyway.

Re: Exported WAV file won't burn
You can sometimes use Windows to tell you about the music file. Right-click > Properties > Advanced. I'm not on a Windows machine, but I think it should tell you the music specifications. 44100, 16-bit, Stereo is the Music CD sound specification. If you export one of those, it should open up on all ...

Re: Volume wont play through from mixer/turntables
I cannot hear playthrough at either recording or playback. We know how the turntable/mixer is getting into your Mac -- through the USB port. How are you listening? Which Mac is also important. Do you have analog jacks for Line-In and Line-Out like this? Not all Macs do. http://www.kozco.com/tech/au...
