Re: Different waveforms on oscilloscope and Audacity

Maybe this is happening because of the changing video quality when you convert a Youtube video to MP3 Or. We're watching an intentionally distorted MP3 made from the intentionally distorted Youtube made from the original performance. Both of those steps are good-enough approximations, not pure soun...

wxmsw313u_core_vc_custom.dll
That file apparently is part of the wxWidgets system. Are you compiling the Audacity program or just trying to use it?

Where did you get Audacity from? Should be here.

Re: Audible Denial For "Extraneous Noise"

I had accidentally deleted the revised version and the terrible raw unedited version was submitted instead That's right up there with the book that got rejected because the reader put the wrong number of seconds of silence at the end of the chapters. We note the bad chapter would not have made it p...

Re: GUI lag/slow performance on 4k monitor

I think it's still true that no matter how powerful your machine is, Audacity is only going to use one core. It's also going to fall to the bottom of the priority stack. How many other things do you have running, and do you have a cloud connection mounted along with local storage? Disconnect the net...

Re: Different waveforms on oscilloscope and Audacity

Scopes can have very different displays depending on the sweep settings. Are you using single-sweep trigger or sloppy synchronized free-run? What's the time base setting? I can't read it. I think Audacity is zoomed in way too far, or you're not looking at the same sound. Zoom out full with Command+F...

Re: Missing Audio Data Block Files

I put your posting in a "code" window to keep it from taking over the screen. It's still all there.

You keep losing them? This happened more than once, or one show is progressively falling apart?

It's from the contract What's the possibility of you posting that tiny section of the contract? If that bothers you, I can post email information. One of the problems with getting ready for audiobook reading is the holes in the process. This is one example. I suspect if you don't have a contract, y...

i've been using asio drivers and audacity for 10+ years.
Good to know. So you compiled Audacity from the published source code? You don't have the same Audacity everybody else does—on purpose. Did you have any trouble wrangling all the libraries?

Re: Cassette to Mac - audacity file is faster with lots of signal noise

Did the Fast Track come with software and did you install it? That's not necessarily a good thing. The Fast Track should just plug in to the Mac and go. If you configured their software wrong, you could have a mismatch between the Fast Track and Audacity. Control+Tap or Right-Click the sound file > ...
