Re: Can not get Sound activated recording to work.

If you have a very noisy environment, it may trigger all the time. Then you can get a quieter room or adjust the recording and threshold levels.

Re: support

Audacity for recording ie. laying down track is most welcome... Say that again and use a lot more words. "I want to connect my Logitech Desktop microphone to my Toshiba Satellite Windows 7 laptop and record my guitar and singing in Audacity 1.3.13." If you make it too fuzzy and generic, w...

Re: Sound is breaking up badly during play back.

Win Vista and Win7 have provision for video and audio conferencing, and sometimes those tools are turned on as default. They might cause problems like this. Windows Enhanced Sound http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=41179&start=0 What kind of equipment do you have and how is i...

Re: connect electric guitar and keyboard

One at a time is basic and cheap, but you do need one other device. Most Windows Laptops will not accept high-level stereo connections. We've been recommending a UCA-202 like this... http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/UCA202.jpg Oddly, even if it doesn't have an amplifier, an electric guitar right o...

Re: Distortion when recording

You published your 1.3 problem in the Audacity 1.2 forum. It took me a second to catch up.

Re: Distortion when recording

How is the FastTrack connected to your Mac? Analog, USB or S/PDIF? Does the blue power light on the front of the FastTrack stay on during these episodes? Instead of restarting the FastTrack multiple times, pull the wall power, count to ten and plug it back in. You will have to restart Audacity after...

Re: Timer Problems

I see one problem. It's impossible to set the times and dates. I set an hour and a half recording and stayed around long enough to see it go into the capture -- for 25 hours, 36 minutes. The day value had spontaneously bumped up to the next day, and it appears to be impossible to bring it back down....

Taming the Wild Voice Recording

I'm installing equipment that captures discussions in a small theater for the purpose of sharing the ideas with other people offset in time, distance, or both. It's pretty simple. The microphones are Shure MX393 Stage microphones... http://www.shure.com/americas/products/microphones/microflex/mx392-...

Timer Problems

I don't have any time problems yet, but I do wonder what sorts of problems others have had. It's a given that the timer in Audacity 1.3.12 will only do one event, but past that, what could go wrong? You set the in point and the out point, OK, and go to the Tesco for milk. I can predict one possible ...
