Re: Audacity can just only use 44100 record sampling rate?
How can I use Audacity now? How could you use it before? What changed? can not record music From where? Audacity is OK with either 44100 or 48000, but there can be a problem with connections or services in the middle. This can be a problem if you try to record Youtube or other internet content. My ...

Re: Reducing "hollow" sound in recording
I designed a kitchen table sound studio, but it turns out buying furniture moving pads in the UK is much harder than in the US. But that's the idea. https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=369938#p369938 That's an H4 on a roll of paper towels. The towels also help isolate the recorder from ta...

Re: 15 minute ACX sample
"Maxwells Cafe" ACX audition was a minute and forty-three seconds. Probably nearly perfect by accident. Brendon Solorz complimented me on turning in a technically perfect sound file and then spent the rest of the time telling me how to drink water and eat apples to straighten out my readin...

Re: 15 minute ACX sample
Let's see. 2500 characters at at average of 6 characters per word is 400 words. Reading out loud in English comes in at about 150 words per min so 2.6 minutes max for the audition. So I wasn't that far off with three to five minutes. I also wasn't that far off with my submitted audition which I have...

Re: 15 minute ACX sample
I also attached an illustrated/watermarked PDF Didn't get the PDF. Did the forum complain when you tried to post it? Not all file forms are acceptable to the forum. I can look. The audition script comes first, and for that there was a character count (2500 from memory) maximum. That's the hero info...

Re: ACX Check fails in 2.4.1
Install Mac ACX Check My issue is that I can't download the ACX-check plugin. I think you downloaded it fine It's the next few steps that are fuzzy. It's not an app and it doesn't "launch." It's a plugin that helps Audacity do its job. Desktop > Go (top of screen) > Go to folder > ~/Libra...

Re: Recording clipping at 0.5 (-6 dB)
Do you have Linux set to record internet sound? Depending on configuration, what that actually does is add all your sound sources up and records everything. If your built-in microphone is dead, that may reduce available analog volume by 6dB. A more normal reason for this reduction is recording a ste...

I changed your post.
So can you post the section of contract that says Audition length now, right?

Re: Different waveforms on oscilloscope and Audacity
Alternately, scope the computer speaker listening to the YouTube video and I bet it looks a lot more like the Audacity waves.
