Re: feedback wanted on hi-fi iPod docks
I clean forgot about this. I'm at work and I'm listening to a song from somebody else in the building. I have no idea who some of these people are. This is Standard iTunes Network Sharing service (I have mine turned off). Whoever Stephen is, I'm going to have to find him and compliment him on his mu...

Re: feedback wanted on hi-fi iPod docks
I'd say get a mini-mac instead and use it as a media center. That's basically what I did. This is my TV/stereo/production center. http://www.kozco.com/mytv/caleigh2_982x600b.jpg I'm up to three external drives. You can do live video like that with FireWire. I don't require constant music, so I'm mi...

Re: Recording signal very low after switching to firewire
If OP is like me, OP is using Monitor Sends or Aux Sends to go into the computer. Then the signal at the computer would be determined by controls other than the ones affecting Line-Out, Program-Out, Main-Out or whatever your mixer calls it. There are similar problems with sending "Tape-Out&quo...

Re: I can't record more than one track!
While I research this, try going into CleanSpeech intentionally and close Audacity. Open Audacity and take yourself out of CleanSpeech. Close and reopen. Still stuck?

Re: Audacity 1.3 Beta on Windows 7, can't record from speake
Pity to get the free software (Audacity) to work, you now need to buy other software. Audacity will record any audio presented to it. If your computer doesn't have a microphone, Audacity will not be able to record a microphone, either. Having Stereo Mix missing is not unusual. Macs can't record int...

Re: Recording/Playback Problem
After much thought on it during the day today, I realized it is apparently sending 2 left signals. For some reason the computer speakers, and headphones connected to the computer sound card, still played everything ok, I assume either the sound card may have some type of correction for it? No. You ...

It depends on where you look. This is a direct quote from the Audacity 1.3.13 page.

Re: Resample without changing pitch
You can change the sample rate with the little window to the lower left of the edit window. This will not change the general sound of the work. You can get a smaller MP3 file by changing the bitrate from the MP3 Export dialog. You are urged to not "help" MP3. MP3's job is to maintain the h...

Re: Recording/Playback Problem
You could also use two of these.

Just connect one RCA from each -- and pick the same one --white if that's how they're labeled.

Re: Recording/Playback Problem
This is not the best solution, but it should work. Plug two of these into the TRS Balanced Out, one Left and one Right. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103711 Yes, I know. They're not TRS, they're TS. Then one of these from the adapters into the Stereo In of the computer. http...
