Re: URGENT HELP NEEDED!

When you play your work, do you get the bouncing green sound meters and blue waves on the timeline like this? http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/Audacity1_playback.jpg Audacity will not Save a WAV sound file. To get one of those you have to Export one. File > Export > WAV (Microsoft) Signed 16-bit PCM. ...

Re: feedback wanted on hi-fi iPod docks

I lose on Sports Call®. My iPod Touch is a first or second generation and will not upgrade further than IOS 4.2. IOS 4.3 is the operating system with Music Sharing, "Air Play," Video Conferencing, iChat, etc. etc. etc, and runs on third and fourth generation machines. Back under the pile o...

Re: Volume Problem

You probably should deselect Stereo Mix and return your machine to a straight recorder and player. That bit about odd echoes means your sound pathway isn't what you think it is. Also make sure Windows isn't trying to help you by setting sound quality for you. Windows Enhanced Sound http://forum.auda...

These are the panels describing the settings to record internet audio. Make sure these are not set. http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Mixer_Toolbar_Issues#Using_the_Control_Panel http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Recording_audio_playing_on_the_computer Another thing you can have wrong is ...

Re: Orphaned Files.

Don't put a lot of hope in UnDelete programs. MacOS-X is a Unix-based system and steps on "vacant" file space almost immediately. We had two serious Delete By Accident problems in the shop and in both cases the best efforts of the techies and Mac Service guy and all the kings horses, etc, ...

Re: Don't want a Hollow Podcast

Most people who post with problems have things plugged together wrong, but you seem to have hit it first time out. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/PCHeadset.jpg That it? Hollow sound..... Check in Audacity Preferences and the Windows Control Panels and make sure you're recording the microphon...

Re: feedback wanted on hi-fi iPod docks

Well, that was painful. I didn't have a lot of trouble sharing iTunes over WiFi or the wired network, but it did make me jump through Authorization and Sharing hoops. I swear we don't do this at work. I'm missing a trick or two. The iPod Touch was a little more of an adventure. I found it under a pi...

Re: feedback wanted on hi-fi iPod docks

It's a MacBook Pro, but I wouldn't be shocked to find that a Touch on the WiFi network could access the same music. It's a digital download, not streaming, so you get the quality of the original work. It seems to be immune to the "Authorized Computer" thing, but the music does vanish when ...
