Re: Do you hear something that needs to be fixed?
I applied the three tools in the audiobook mastering suite. Screen Shot 2020-07-02 at 3.11.53.png That boosted the volume and put the show in range of the DeEsser tool at these settings. Screen Shot 2020-07-02 at 3.14.01.png That that still wasn't enough, so I added the Graphic Equalizer tool. Scree...

Re: Write project to network drive
I have problem writing project to network drive. I so wouldn't do that. Audacity doesn't get along with network-connected drives. Save the Project to a local drive, zip the components into an "archive," and move that. Also, if you have a super important show, save it as a Lossless Project...

Re: Switched to Mac, Audacity not recording
you can't hear the sound while recording Sure you can. Set the Audacity playback device to your speakers, headphones, or other "real" sound device. Then set Audacity > Preferences > Recording > [X] Playthrough. That sound may be a fraction of a second late, but if you're waiting for a sou...

Re: Do you hear something that needs to be fixed?
I won't record everything a fourth time No, but you can record a ten-second test so we have something good quality to work from—and do it with the blanket. https://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/TestClip/Record_A_Clip.html The acoustic signatures and tonal balance are going to change with the bedding ...

While that's possible, it's not likely. We can wait for someone to post who is knowledgeable and local, or we can try to help you here on the forum.someone could help me first hand.
Which version of Audacity are you using and which Windows?

Re: need help with system settings for recording audio
Still. It does work on two of my machines.Soundflower has not been supported for many years.
Right. That's why I'm still on High Sierra. I posted my installer a little bit ago. I'll see if I still have it.High Siera that works with all graphic and design programs

Re: Super small waveform
There's a rocker switch thingy near the connector end of the microphone. The manual is a little ambiguous as to what it does, but that may be worth a shot. Screen Shot 2020-07-01 at 16.29.59.png It's true. Home microphones have modest volume. You can fix low volume, but loud volume, overload distort...

Re: Switched to Mac, Audacity not recording
That was harder than it should have been. I made a SoundFlower ReadMe in plain text. The one included with the program is formatted and still has all the formatting codes sprinkled around it. You can read that one if you have all week. It does open beautifully in my Publisher program. Doesn't help. ...

Re: Switched to Mac, Audacity not recording
If you're in 10.13 (High Sierra), Soundflower should still work.
Do Not upgrade your Mac. 10.13 is still supported (as far as I know). Mojave is inconvenient and Catalina broke a lot of things.
I Need to drop for a while.
