You have a weird sense of balance. This piece... http://markfinley.bizland.com/Pretty%20Woman.mp3 26 seconds in, the lead guitar theme cycle is almost swamped by the other pieces but the accent guitars are very forward and crisp. This wouldn't happen to be the guy with the busted amp, would it? I re...

Re: What is the best way to...

If all you have is high bass, you should be able to use Effect > Equalization > Graphic Eq. Flatten it if it isn't already. Pull down sliders to the left starting w...

Re: problem with converted files not showing on car's audio

He's not making a disk. He's playing music files on a flash drive.
If he was making a disk, this would be easy.
I'm betting the files that play are MP3 and the ones that don't are WAV. In Windows, you wouldn't be able to tell easily.

Re: Multi-channel playback

I believe we can create multichannel music files through the FFMpeg software, but I don't remember anybody saying the words: "Multi-Channel Playback."

Re: problem with converted files not showing on car's audio

Does Windows Media have an INFO panel or service? Inspect the two files. You can also right-click > Properties > Advanced and look for differences that way. Windows likes to hide filename extensions to "help you," and that can cause problems. -- Hidden File Extensions -- Start > My Compute...

Re: Converting Stereo to Joint Stereo

Import the show into Audacity 1.3 and File > Export > MP3 > Options > Joined Stereo. However, if the shows are already compressed, the additional export compression is likely to create bubbly, honky compression artifacts. You can minimize the damage by using a very high bitrate like 320. Another con...

Re: Vocals Lagging on instrumental when rapping

That's Recording Latency and it's easily curable in Audacity 1.3. http://audacityteam.org/download/ This isn't done yet, so you have to wing it a little. Open up Preferences > Recording and set Latency to 0. OK and restart Audacity. Open this document and roll down to Recording Latency > File New. h...

Re: usb and analog

You should be able to split different inputs and outputs -- record from the USB and play to the analog.. You can select that in the Windows control panels and then in Audacity 1.3 preferences. You may need to restart Audacity for the settings to work. The USB device must be plugged in and working be...
