Re: Scratchy Effect when trying to record with audio?
You could set up for Overdubbing, and conveniently enough, I wrote some of the instructions to do that. You should probably start with the one on the bottom -- Fake Overdubbing. That one's the least crazy or expensive. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/overdubbing/overdubbing.html That one has you ...

Re: monitor delay help
The latency adjustment in Audacity is the "other latency," track matching, and has nothing to do with your live voice. Koz

When you play the guitar, it makes noise itself and the difference between that and the computer playthrough are right in your face. Recording Latency, hearing the live instrument coming back typi...

Re: Sequential tracks?
You can File > Import each sound clip and it will open up in its own timeline. You can cut and paste from there, or, better, use the TimeShift Tool (two sideways black arrows) to shift each track sooner or later for good theatrical timing. It should mix down to one track on export.

Re: Adding song "breaks" so Itunes can see individual songs?
By the way, I wouldn't automatically create MP3 files form your vinyl. If you want to create an archive of the work (separate from iTunes), do it in WAV format. You can successfully compress WAV down to MP3, AAC, M4A, etc as needed. Once you create a compressed MP3, it's permanently damaged and you ...

Re: Adding song "breaks" so Itunes can see individual songs?
You can add "Labels" at the beginning of each song on the timeline - Control-B. You can throw words inside each label as you make them. Be sure and label the first song. Everybody always leaves that one out. Then, instead of Exporting your music, you can Export Multiple and Audacity will m...
