Go > Home > Library > Application Support > Drag the audacity folder to the trash and restart Audacity.

what SidderSea and Carlos might be describing is the ability to move the black cursor with arrow keys while playing. They specifically said it wasn't a play function. It happens from stop. I can see how that would be valuable. I do editing by continually zooming in and out to get to the edit points...
